Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of food availability, affordability, and utilization in 20 sub-districts in East OKU Regency. This research method uses a descriptive approach to data sourced from the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry, Department of Population and Civil Registration, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Food Security, Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and Health Department in East OKU Regency. The analysis technique in this study uses the FSVA (A Food Security and Vulnerability Atlas of Indonesia) indicator standard. The results of the study showed that at the level of food availability, there were 8 sub-districts with a food surplus, while there were 12 sub-districts with a food deficit, at the level of food affordability in the poverty indicator, the sub-districts with very resilient conditions were Madang Suku III, Belitang, Belitang Jaya, Belitang III, Belitang Mulya and Semendawai Timur sub-districts, while the very vulnerable conditions were owned by Buay Pemuka Bangsa Raja, and Bunga Mayang sub-districts. For the indicator of the population without access to electricity, the sub-districts in East OKU have achieved 100% electricity access, and at the level of food utilization, the clean water indicator is still very limited, the prevalence of stunting in toddlers is still high and the distribution of the workforce is uneven. It can be concluded that at the level of food availability, it is able to contribute to supporting regional food security, at the level of food affordability, the poverty indicator is the main cause of food insecurity, while the indicator of the population without access to electricity in 2022, the sub-districts in East OKU have achieved 100% electricity access, and at the level of food utilization, clean water, the prevalence of stunting, and health workers are still challenges.
