Abstract

The poliovirus can cause paralysis and even death, particularly among children under five years of age. In 2024, Indonesia reintroduced the National Polio Immunization Week (PIN) in response to the increase in polio cases since late 2022. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the completeness of vaccination during the implementation of the Polio PIN at the Sukarami Health Center in Palembang City. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, utilizing secondary data from vaccination records of children who were registered and had received two rounds of the Polio PIN vaccination. The sample consisted of 88 children selected based on inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate tests, including the Fisher Exact test. The results indicated that there was no statistically significant association between vaccination service location and vaccination completeness (p = 0.051), additionally, child age (p = 0.697), gender (p = 1.000), and residential area (p = 0.683) were also not significantly associated with the completeness of Polio PIN vaccination.
