Abstract

Historical learning in schools, especially local history, still suffers from limited resources and a lack of valid and effective learning media variation. This problem arises due to historical learning that focuses only on textbook sources as primary sources. Therefore, it is time for students to study history, especially local history, and this must require a solution in order to the goal of learning. This research is the answer to the problem of development of learning media based on the web encyclopedia of google sites on local history materials of the stone tombs of the Kota Raya Lembak Lahat District in class X State High School 1 Lahat valid and effective. This research was carried out in Class X IPS 1 State High School 1 Lahat with ADDIE model development procedure. Validity of the product is assessed by four validators: material expert, learning media expert, grammar expert and learning design expert. The evaluation of the aspect of the material is 4.76 with a very valid category, the learning media is 3.57 with a valid category, the grammar is 3.56 with a valid category and the learning design is 4.30 with a highly valid category. The effectiveness of this product was measured at the implementation stage with an increase in learning output of 50.69% with N-gain of 0.9. It shows that the results of this research have answered the problem by having developed learning media based on the web encyclopedia of google sites on local history materials of the stone tombs of the Kota Raya Lembak Lahat District in class X State High School 1 Lahat.
