Abstract

This study aims to develop an asset management information system based on ISO 55001 to enhance IT asset management within the Central Bureau of Statistics of Ogan Ilir Regency. The background of this research is based on the issue of fragmented and manually managed asset management, which leads to difficulties in recording, monitoring, and handling damaged IT assets. To address these challenges, this study employs the Prototype method with an iterative approach, allowing users to actively participate in the system development process. The developed system includes various modules, ranging from asset planning, acquisition, utilization, maintenance, to asset disposal, as well as an integrated damaged asset complaint feature. The system is implemented using the CodeIgniter 4 framework, which supports a Model-View-Controller architecture to ensure a well-structured and maintainable codebase. The results of testing using the Black Box Testing method indicate that the system meets functional and non-functional requirements, improves operational efficiency, and minimizes IT asset downtime through centralized and transparent record-keeping. Thus, this study demonstrates that the implementation of ISO 55001 standards in an asset management information system can enhance the effectiveness of IT asset management in the Central Bureau of Statistics of Ogan Ilir Regency and support strategic decision-making based on accurate and well-structured data.
