Abstract

Diplomasi budaya merupakan strategi penting yang digunakan Jepang di Thailand untuk memperkenalkan nilai-nilai budaya, memperluas jangkauan pengaruh soft power, dan memperkuat hubungan bilateral melalui pendekatan berbasis pendidikan dan pertukaran budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori diplomasi budaya dari Simon Mark sebagaimana dikemukakan dalam bukunya A Greater Role for Cultural Diplomacy, dengan mengacu pada empat elemen utama: Actors, Objectives, Activities, dan Audiences. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pihak-pihak terkait program Nihongo Partners, sedangkan data sekunder dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka yang mencakup situs web resmi, artikel jurnal, dokumentasi, dan berbagai literatur yang relevan. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Jepang siswa, memperluas pemahaman budaya Jepang, serta memperkuat hubungan bilateral melalui pendekatan budaya yang bersifat partisipatif dan berkelanjutan.
