Abstract

This research aims to know society perception in RT 9, Timbangan subdistrict, was observed from education level toward police performance based on constitution number 2, 2002. The population in this research is all of society in RT 9, Timbangan Sub district, North Indralaya district that clustered based on education level totally 254 people. The research sampling is using disproportionate stratified random sampling technic and determining it’s total by using 10 % sample collecting from society population. The total is 138 people that 42 people as elementary school (SD) student, 33 people as Junior High School (SMP) student, 37 people as Senior High School (SMA) student, and 26 people as university student. The technic of data collecting in this research is used documentation and questioner. The data was analyzed using anova and tukey test. According to analyzing data and discussion, can be concluded that there is significant differences perception from society who’s in high, middle, and low educated toward police performance as society security maintenance agency based on constitution number 2, 2002, in RT 9, Timbangan Sub district, North Indralaya District. Generally, society perception in RT 9, Timbangan Sub district, North Indralaya district toward police performance as security maintenance agency is negative perspective with 62.3 % perception average value. The society in 46,8 % as Elementary School (SD) student, 59,5 % as Junior High School (SMP) student, 65,3 % as Senior High School (SMA) student, and 77,6 % on university level. It means the higher their education so the higher their value.
