Abstract

The aim of this development research was to produce valid and practical web-based teaching materials on biodiversity material. Web-based teaching material as defined in this study was a tool that provided facilities in the delivery of information in the form of presentation media such as PowerPoint, video, image, Student Worksheet, biodiversity materials, and evaluation questions as students‟ facilities in online teaching and learning activities. This research method was the development research that used the procedure of 4-D method (four-D) by Thiagarajan et al., (1974). This research was limited at this stage of the validity and practicality. From the result of this research, it was produced very valid and practical web-based teaching materials on biodiversity material. The results of validation data analysis sheet showed that an average score was 3.50 and questionnaires analyses in its practicallity gained average score were 3.10 and 3.10. Furthermore, it was suggested for other researchers to do research at the stage of deployment and to create and artistic color and more attractive web.
