Abstract
The study on types of beetles (Order: Coleoptera) has been counducted in the Conservation Forest Menumbing Hill Town, Muntok City, Bangka-Belitung Island Province. The study aims to obtain information about the types of beetles and morfhological characters that exist in the region. This study used descriptive method. Specimen captured by way of handling, sweep net, pitfall traps, and light trap. Morphology data were analyzed descriptively to determine the name and description of the beetles. Identified of beetles based on their morphological characters, including the structure of the head, mouth tool, antenna, protoraks, mesotoraks, and metatoraks, elytra, legs, abdomen, and genitalia segment. The results of the study, the Beetles found as many as 16 species of the eight families. The types of beetles found that Xylotrupes Gideon, Orytes rhinoceros, Rynchoporus schach, Pelopides tridens, Sternochetus goniochemis. Inshiopsopha yorkiana, Promethis nigra, sp.2 Monochamus sp., Glischrochilus hortensis, Anomala sp., Coccinella transversalis, sp.1, Henosepilachna sparsa, Lepidiota sp., Epuraea sp. the most family are Scarabaeidae, consisting of at least five species and Family Cucujidae, Tenebrionidae, and Passalidae consisting of one species. On the other hand, the results of this study contributed to learning Biology in high school as a booklet to identify the beetles and the subject matter.
