Abstract

Background: Cesarean section is a surgical method of delivery that can cause acute pain due to incisions in the Hypogastric tissue. Cesarean pain, if not managed promptly, can impact the physiological and psychological aspects of the mother, such as sleep disturbances, anxiety, limitations in mobility, as well as disrupting breastfeeding and bonding between mother and baby. Pain management is generally carried out pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One form of therapy that can be applied in a non-pharmacological approach is Al-Qur'an Murrotal and biological nurturing baby-led feeding. Both methods can be used as adjunct therapies that support the effectiveness of pain management, as well as help to increase comfort and recovery for mothers after cesarean section surgery. Objective: To apply nursing care to post-cesarean section patients experiencing acute pain with interventions of Quran recitation (murottal) and biological nurturing baby-led feeding. Method: The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach involving 3 post-cesarean section patients experiencing pain. Results: Five nursing problems were identified in the three post-cesarean section patients, with the primary nursing problem being acute pain. The results from the non-pharmacological interventions, namely the application of Quran recitation (murottal) and biological nurturing baby-led feeding, showed a decrease in the patients' pain scale by 3-4 points from moderate pain intensity to mild pain intensity. Discussion: The results of the assessment indicated that pain is the main complaint experienced by the three patients post-sectio caesarea, thus establishing the primary nursing diagnosis as acute pain. The application of Quranic murottal and biological nurturing baby-led feeding plays an important role in reducing pain by creating psychological calmness and supporting the release of oxytocin and endorphins which are involved in lowering pain perception and is recommended to be performed 3-4 hours after giving analgesics. Conclusion: The application of Quranic murottal and biological nurturing baby-led feeding is effective in reducing the pain experienced by post-sectio caesarea patients.
