Abstract

This study compares the power output between a static Solar Power Generation System (PLTS) and a PLTS with a dual-axis solar tracker equipped with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system using the Blynk application. The research was conducted over 10 days at Sriwijaya University Bukit Campus using two 20 Wp monocrystalline solar panels. Each system was integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller to monitor voltage, current, and power in real time via the Blynk application. The results show that the dual-axis solar tracker system has higher efficiency compared to the static system. The highest values recorded by the dual-axis tracker were 17.26 V for voltage, 1.06 A for current, and 18.2 W for power, while the static system recorded 15.56 V, 1.02 A, and 15.6 W respectively. The Blynk application proved effective for remote monitoring and simplified data collection and analysis, making the dual-axis tracker system a recommended solution for enhancing solar energy absorption efficiency.
