Abstract

Fire is an event that often occurs in the community. This happens along with population and industrial developments. The Fire Service is the only government agency that has duties and functions in the field of fire. Therefore, the performance of the fire fighting team in fire prevention needs to be assessed. This is because the firefighters are not only responsible for their safety but also the safety of others. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of the fire fighting team based on Permen PU No. 20 / PRT / M / 2009, Permen PU No. 25 / PRT / M / 2008, Permendagri No. 16 of 2009, NFPA 1001 and NFPA 1500. This type of research is descriptive comparative. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation study. The theory used in this study is the theory of Noe et Al. The results of this study are composing personnel according to the level of fire extinguisher organization, position placement other than rank but also should be based on the qualitative owned, acceptance of the number of personnel should be based on the needs of the area of fire management in including training should be considered according to position.
