Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) Knowing and studying the cultivation process and implementation of the chili cluster development program in Muara Burnai I Village, Lempuing Jaya Sub-District, OKI Regency. 2) Analyzing the role of the chili auction market in supporting chili marketing in Muara Burnai I Village, Lempuing Jaya District, District OIC. 3) Analyzing differences in income of farmer chili farmers in chili cluster members and non chili cluster members participating in the auction market in Muara Burnai I Village, Lempuing Jaya District, OKI District and 4) 4. Knowing and analyzing the benefits of the auction market in improving the welfare of farmers in Muara Burnai I Village, Lempuing Jaya Subdistrict, OKI Regency in accordance with the standards of decent living needs (KHL). This research was conducted in Muara Burnai I Village in December 2018. Site selection was done intentionally. The research method uses the survey method. The sampling method used was disproportionate stratified random sampling method with 60 samples. The results of this study indicate that the auction market plays an important role in the marketing of chili, farmers get an increase in income and the selling price of chili is quite high. As for the comparison of farmers' income from cluster members and non-cluster cluster farmers, the income obtained by cluster farmers is greater than that of non cluster members. so that the decent living needs of chili cluster farmers and non-chili cluster farmers have fulfilled the standard of decent living needs (KHL)
