Abstract

Euphorbia tirucalli L. merupakan tumbuhan sukulen yang mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti tanin, flavonoid, dan saponin yang bersifat antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengkarakterisasi fungi endofit dari E. tirucalli serta mengevaluasi aktivitas antibakterinya terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Sebanyak 17 isolat berhasil diperoleh, dengan jumlah terbanyak berasal dari daun. Uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan isolat T7 memiliki efektivitas tertinggi terhadap kedua bakteri uji. Penentuan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) menunjukkan isolat T7 dan T9 memiliki KHM 47,5 µg/ml terhadap S. aureus, dan isolat T7 menunjukkan KHM 42,5 µg/ml terhadap P. aeruginosa. Analisis KLT mengidentifikasi senyawa flavonoid dan fenol sebagai komponen bioaktif. Berdasarkan karakterisasi morfologi dan mikroskopis, isolat T2 diidentifikasi sebagai Acremonium sp., T7 sebagai Colletotrichum sp., dan T9 serta X14 sebagai Cladosporium sp. Hasil ini menunjukkan potensi fungi endofit E. tirucalli sebagai sumber senyawa antibakteri alami.
