Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas partisipasi masyarakat Desa Cawang Lama dalam pengelolaan pariwisata berkelanjutan di Sungai Trokon, Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Tujuan penelitian adalah memahami penerapan prinsip pariwisata berkelanjutan serta bentuk partisipasi masyarakat pada tahap pengambilan keputusan, implementasi, pemanfaatan, dan evaluasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Informan ditentukan secara purposive, terdiri dari kepala desa, anggota Pokdarwis, dan masyarakat umum. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan triangulasi sebagai uji keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan Sungai Trokon telah mengintegrasikan prinsip berkelanjutan dalam aspek ekonomi, sosial budaya, dan lingkungan. Masyarakat berpartisipasi aktif pada tahap implementasi dan pemanfaatan, seperti pembangunan fasilitas dan pengelolaan wisata, namun keterlibatan mereka masih terbatas pada tahap pengambilan keputusan dan evaluasi. Kendala utama yang dihadapi meliputi kurangnya transparansi pengelolaan, dominasi aktor tertentu, serta distribusi manfaat yang belum merata. Diperlukan penguatan kapasitas dan ruang partisipasi masyarakat dalam penyusunan kebijakan dan evaluasi agar pengelolaan wisata dapat berjalan lebih adil, transparan, dan berkelanjutan.
