Abstract
The isopropyl alcohol plant with a production capacity of 40,000 tons per year is planned to be established in 2030 at the Industrial Area of Jalan Amerika, Samangraya Subdistrict, Citangkil District, Cilegon, Banten. Isopropyl alcohol in this plant is produced through a hydrogenation process between hydrogen and acetone using a Raney Nickel catalyst in a Trickle Bed Reactor, based on Patent WO2024089647A1. The plant will be established as a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational structure, led by a director and supported by 144 employees. The isopropyl alcohol plant is considered feasible to be established, as it meets the following economic feasibility parameters: Investment Cost = US$ 30.308.599,89 Total Sales = US$ 101.908.674,01 Total Production Cost (TPC)= US$ 83.541.690,91 Annual Cash Flow (ACF) = 50,92% Pay Out Time (POT) = 1,96 Years Rate of Return on Investment (ROR)= 42,42% Discounted Cash Flow – ROR = 97,05% Break Even Point (BEP) = 33,33% Service Life = 11 Years
