Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), labor, and infrastructure on investment across 34 provinces in Indonesia during the period from 2016 to 2023. The study utilizes secondary panel data derived from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesian Financial and Economic Statistics (SEKI), and the World Bank. Regression analysis using panel data is employed with the Common Effect Model (CEM) to examine both partial and simultaneous relationships between the variables. The empirical findings reveal that partially, only the GRDP variable has a positive and statistically significant effect on investment, suggesting that regional economic output plays a crucial role in attracting capital investment. In contrast, labor and infrastructure variables do not exhibit significant partial effects, indicating potential inefficiencies or mismatches in the availability, quality, or productivity of human resources and infrastructure services. Nevertheless, when analyzed simultaneously, GRDP, labor, and infrastructure collectively show a significant influence on investment, implying the importance of integrated economic planning. These results underscore the pivotal role of economic growth, as reflected through GRDP, in driving investment decisions across regions. At the same time, the findings highlight the need for policymakers to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of labor and infrastructure development to foster a more conducive investment climate throughout Indonesia.
