Abstract
In this research, the casting process recycled of aluminium using crucible furnace and direct fuel furnace which will then be compared the mechanical properties with annealing heat treatment. Melling process performed at temperaiure 75(fC and then performed pouring in the mold. The result of the casting process is formed according to the Standard mechanical testing were used. Annealing heat treatment process performed to remove residual stresses that arise after the casting process: Annealing process i s performed at temperaiure 35(fJC and holding time performed for 2 hours. From the results of research on found that the results of direct fuel furnace has better mechanical properties than the crusible furnace both before and after the heat treated. Annealing heat treatment In this research caused specimens of each furnace becomes more ductile and malleable. It can be seen from the increasing value of the ultimate tensile stress (oj, tensile stress fracture (of) and also the impact value is increasing prove that both specimens more ductile than specimen without annealing process. While the softening can be seen from the hardness value decreased after the heat treatment.
