Abstract

In an industry we need a media to drain fluid from one or several points to one or some other point. In this case the medium used is the pipe. Combined pipes that have a total length which is relatively short and is used t o drain fluid from equipmet to the other equipment operating at a plant is called the piping system. In the piping system can be found a components that complement those Systems, suchas valves, branching, elbows, flanges, nozzles, reducers, joint, insulation, etc .. piping systems are divided into two categories: piping and pipeline. Difference between the two can be seen from the function, the location of use and the total length contained in the piping system. Piping is used to drain the fluid between equipment of an operating plant. While the pipeline is functioning for transmission and distribution needs of the fluid from one region to another. Then to connect pipes to each other pipelines, which we call the spool, usually using welding. Pipeline is a piping system which is often used as a means of distribution of oil and gas in large quantity. In operation the pipeline going through the diverse distance and terrain, both by land (above ground or below ground level), the river, under the sea, or in the offshore area. The piping system must be able to withstand all of the work load, the load amount of static over time (static load) and load change according to the function of time (dynamic loads). Pipe is also used as a means for delivering fluid in the form of gas, oil, water and other fluids from one place to the other. As for fluid jetting system was conducted by gravity or by pressure. Generally piping has a Standard in using and operating, so it takes the coding form in a piping system that is used, the coding was done in accordance with the shape of the State of the piping system is designed in a system. The ability of piping systems to withstand the work load so as not to cause the failure of the piping system known as flexibility. Failure in piping systems can interfere with the piping system. Analysis needs to be done to ensure that the piping system in a safe condition when operated. Then failure in piping systems are the result of stress overload on the pipe that caused the maximum load and concentrated unregulated joint system , stress overload is the result from the load that occurs continuously and may change given to the piping system , so as to change the nature and circumstances of the pipe. So in designing or building a good system piping stress analysis should be done in advance to anticipate and address in case of excess stress. Currently there are some Software to help perform pipe stress analysis. The Software has meet the requirements of analysis tool because it has been based on standardized codes and standards for piping. At this writing the case studies with the help of Caesar II Software version of 7:00 in which the end result is obtained magnitude of the forces and moments acting on the pipe, and the slress acting on the pipe. Piping system should provide sufficient flexibility so that at the time of operation, no piping system failure done due to excessive stress (overstress) on the pipe. In this paper discusses the piping in piping systems of Lube and Seal Oil Where the fimction of piping Lube and Seal Oil is to drain the oil from the Lube and Seal Oil 103 J. L. O. C to the compressor 2A - J. L. P. From the simulation results can be seen from the stress limit of carbon Steel pipe material TP 304 A312 types of Lube and Seal Oil 103 J L.O. 2A-103 compressor to J.L.C used in piping systems to the stress arising in piping systems, amounting to: 137895.1 kPa.
