Abstract

Stunting has the highest prevalence of the three complex nutritional problems globally and in Indonesia in 2024. Stunting can be prevented by paying attention to growth and nutrition in the first 1,000 days of a child's life, starting from conception until the child is two years old. Mothers' knowledge about stunting significantly determines the incidence of stunting in children. Stunting prevention can be achieved by utilizing technology as an Android-based application This study aims to develop a prototype of the Anak GeMas application as a stunting prevention tool in the Pemulutan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) work area. This study employed the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE development model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The usability test subjects were 20 respondents, consisting of pregnant women and mothers with toddlers in the Pemulutan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) work area. Black-box testing results indicated that the application functioned as expected. The alpha test by material experts showed a very acceptable rating, with an average score of 97.5%. The alpha test by media experts showed a very acceptable rating, with an average score of 90%. The usability test showed an average score of 88.125, with an acceptable rating. These results indicate that the Anak GeMas application prototype developed is highly suitable for use as a stunting prevention tool. Future researchers are expected to develop a messaging feature for communication with other users or healthcare professionals.
