Abstract
RINGKASAN Suaka Margasatwa Gunung Raya terdiri atas ekositsem hutan hujan tropis dataran tingi yang merupakan habitat berbagai jenis anggrek, salah satunya adalah jenis anggrek Paphiopedilum barbatum. Ketidaktersediaan data distribusi anggrek pada kawasan Suaka Margasatwa Gunung Raya melatar belakangi penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa metode ekplorasi yang berdasarkan dengan jalur patroli BKSDA dan identifikasi anggrek. Metode eksplorasi digunakan untuk melihat pola distribusi spasial anggrek epifit dalam kawasan Suaka Margasatwa Gunung Raya sedangkan metode identifikasi digunakan untuk melihat apa saja jenis anggrek epifit dalam kawasan Suaka Margasatwa Gunug Raya. Hasil eksplorasi ditemukan 4 jenis anggrek epifit yang ditemukan dalam kawasan Suaka Margasatwa Gunung Raya. Jenis anggrek epifit yang ditemukan adalah Bulbophylum cocleatum yang ditemukan pada grid B23 sampai D23, sampel, Dendrobium crumenatum ditemukan pada grid F25, D23, dan grid C23, Dendrobium leonis pada grid A22, dan grid D23, Octarrhena oberonioides hanya ditemukan pada grid A22. Konservasi, Suaka Margasatwa Mount Raya Wildlife Sanctuary consists of a tropical rainforest ecosystem in the highlands, which serves as a habitat for various orchid species, one of which is the Paphiopedilum barbatum orchid. The lack of data on orchid distribution in the Mount Raya Wildlife Sanctuary area motivated this research. The methods used in this study included exploration based on BKSDA patrol routes and orchid identification. The exploration method was used to observe the spatial distribution patterns of epiphytic orchids within the Mount Raya Wildlife Sanctuary, while the identification method was used to determine the types of epiphytic orchids present in the area. The study successfully recorded four distinct epiphytic orchid species within the sanctuary. Bulbophyllum cocleatum was observed across grids B23 to D23, demonstrating a relatively wide distribution. Dendrobium crumenatum appeared in multiple locations, specifically grids F25, D23, and C23. Meanwhile, Dendrobium leonis was found in grids A22 and D23, and Octarrhena oberonioides exhibited the most restricted range, occurring exclusively in grid A22. These findings provide foundational data for future conservation efforts and ecological studies in the Mount Raya Wildlife Sanctuary. Keyword: Orchid, Distribution. Conservation, Wildlife Sanctuary
