Abstract

Kota Bengkulu yang terletak di pesisir barat Pulau Sumatera memiliki potensi besar sebagai kota pariwisata, salah satunya melalui Pantai Tapak Paderi yang menyuguhkan keindahan alam sekaligus nilai sejarah. Namun, pengembangan pariwisata masih terkendala oleh terbatasnya fasilitas akomodasi yang layak, termasuk keberadaan Mess Pemerintah Daerah di kawasan pantai yang kini terbengkalai. Mengingat lokasi yang strategis, mess tersebut berpotensi dialihfungsikan menjadi hotel resor guna menambah sarana akomodasi wisatawan. Di sisi lain, posisi Bengkulu yang berada pada jalur Cincin Api Pasifik menjadikannya rawan gempa, sehingga perencanaan hotel resor perlu menerapkan pendekatan arsitektur tahan gempa melalui pemilihan material, struktur, dan fondasi yang tepat. Penerapan konsep ini tidak hanya menjamin keselamatan dan kenyamanan wisatawan, tetapi juga mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan di Kota Bengkulu.
