Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) green bean (Vigna radiata L.) sprout waste with various concentrations on the growth of Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) plants. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a complete randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The LOF concentrations used in this study were P0 (0%), P1 (2%), P2 (4%), P3 (6%). P4 (8%) and P5 (10%). The results were analyzed by ANOVA test and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer had a very significant effect on the number of leaves, wet weight of taruk, dry weight of taruk, wet weight of roots, and dry weight of roots of pakcoy plants. The best treatment is the P5 treatment with a concentration of 10% which produces average growth, namely the number of leaves (12 leaves), wet weight of taruk (14.81 gram), dry weight of taruk (0.91 gram), wet weight of roots (1.51 gram), and dry weight of roots (0.11 gram). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that mung bean sprout waste LOF has a significant effect on the growth of pakcoy plants. The results of this study are utilized as a source of information in learning high school biology class XII phase F on the material Growth and Development of Creatures.
