Abstract
The politeness of language in the film Long Road Don't Forget to Go Home aims to a. Know the language politeness found in the film Jalan Yang Panjang, Don't Forget to Go Home, b. Know the verbal and non-verbal characteristics of language politeness contained in the film Jalan Yang Panjang, Don't Forget to Go Home, c. Knowing the implications of language politeness contained in the film Jalan Yang Panjang, Don't Forget to Go Home for Indonesian language learning. In this research, there are 10 maxims in language politeness, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of respect, the maxim of simplicity, the maxim of consensus, the maxim of sympathy, the maxim of apology, the maxim of forgiveness, the maxim of feeling. The data for this research is in the form of qualitative data collected by analyzing politeness in the language contained in the film Jalan Yang Panjang, Don't Forget to Pulang. The results of this research are that researchers have found as many as 44 speech data in the film Jalan Yang Panjang, Don't Forget to Go Home, which contain politeness in language, including verbal and non-verbal politeness in language. The results of this research also show that the film is suitable to be used as research material and viewing material because the speech in the film contains many values of politeness in communication.
