Abstract

This study is entitled "Perkembangan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Transmigran Di Desa Tugumulyo Kecamatan Lempuing Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir Tahun 2015-2018 : Sumbangan Materi IPS Terpadu Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lempuing (The Socio-Economic Development of Transmigrant Communities in Tugumulyo Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in the year of 2015-2018 : Contribution of Integrated IPS Material for Class 〖VIII〗^th of SMP Negeri 1 Lempuing)". The formulation of the problem in this study is how the social development of transmigrant communities in Tugumulyo Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in 2015-2018 and how the economic development of transmigrant communities in Tugumulyo Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir District in the year of 2015-2018. The purpose of this research is to answer the problems above. The method used in this study is the historical method with heuristic steps, source criticism, interpretation, historiography, and interviews, while the approach used in this study is the sociological and economic approach. The results of this study contributed to the material as a reference for the 〖VIII〗^th grade of Integrated Social Sciences class at SMP Negeri 1 Lempuing. This study reviews social developments such as institutions, interactions, and social stratification. Economic development includes economic resources, production activities, distribution, and economic welfare. The researcher concluded that the social development in Tugumulyo village is marked by an increase in population, community participation in various institutions and social interactions, and awareness of education and then formed a pattern of community stratification. Economic development is characterized by an increase in the types of professions, advances in agricultural tools and techniques, an increase in the types of crop commodities, and a variety of business units. As a reference in learning activities, this study informs students about social and economic development in Tugumulyo Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir District.
