Abstract

Non-renewable energy r,vill be quickly run out. Thqrefore alternative energy is really needed. One alternative energy Lrsed is solar gnergy. Solar energy can be utilized for solar power generation to treat and prevent the earth from damage caused by excess energy use. The convefied electrical energy ivill be stored in dry battery or lead-acid type VRLA which can produce stable electricity and has electrical resistance that can make the charging and emptying cycle repeatedly so that usage can last a long time. The pattern of chargipg and discharging a battery under the Floating charging conditiorr is thought to have a significant inf'luence on the battery's lif'e in this case in the form of the number of cycles (battery cycle). Floating conditions in the form of a charging system on a VRLA battery in a state of full charge and the battery remains connected to the charger to maintain the battery in a full state. This research was done using a battery management system and capacity tester. Based on this research there was a cotnparison graph of battery discharge time and battery capacity reduction rate which showed the difference of discharge time due to the inf'luence of rpom temperature and poorly device sensitivity. The relation between battery capacity and cycle nunrbers can not be seen due to the limited research time.
