Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengertahui keterampilan, ketepatan siswa dalam menulis karangan deskripsi menggunakan media gambar seri siswa kelas V SD Negeri 128 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa hasil analisis keterampilan siswa menulis karangan menggunakan media gambar seri meliputi, (1) kesesuaian judul karangan dengan gambar, (2) ketepatan urutan gambar, (3) kesesuaian tiap paragraf dengan urutan gambar, (4) ketepatan keseluruhan makna cerita dengan gambar, (5) ketepatan kata, (6) ketepatan kalimat, dan (7) ejaan dan tata tulis. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, 2 siswa dengan kategori sangat baik, 20 siswa dengan kategori baik, 7 siswa dengan kategori cukup baik, dan tidak ada siswa yang termasuk kategori kurang. Gambar seri menceritakan sebuah peristiwa bencana alam dengan urutan kejadian yang tidak berurutan.
