Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti tingkat efisiensi dan keuntungan serta pengaruhnya keuntungan terhadap efisiensi industri gula di Indonesia dalam rentan waktu 15 tahun dari 2001 sampai 2015. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dengan status meliputi perkebunan besar negara dan swasta (PBR dan PBS) serta perkebunan rakyat (PR). Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efisiensi dari industri gula masih stagnant dengan nilai rata-rata 0,95. Tingkat keuntungan menggunakan metode Price Cost Margin (PCM) nilai PCM berada pada rata-rata 0,48 dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan 23 persen. Pengaruh keuntungan terhadap efisiensi berpengaruh signifikan dan keuntungan dapat mempengaruhi 28 persen dari tingkat efisiensi.
