Abstract
Rubber is one of the major plantation in Indonesia. The obstacle in the rubber plantation is the pest attack of termite Coptotermes curvignathus that caused the disadvantages in rubber production. The research objective was for knowing the influence of Bacillus thuringiensis – based bio insecticide to wards C. Curvignathus. Observation had been done in the Laboratory Entomoloy Departement of Plant Pest and Diseases of Faculty Agriculture in Sriwijaya University from September until Desember 2016. Research was designed by Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Consisted of 6 treatments and 5 replication. Stadia tested insect were worker caste and soldier caste. The treatments were serial of B. thuringiensis – based bio insecticide 105, 106, 107, 108 spores/ml, while chlorpyrifos and water acted as controls. The result showed all boi insecticides treatment were caused 100% mortality after 96 hours of application the lowest of LT50 value was on 108 spores/ml, i.e. 36 hours. The mortality of soldier worker was lover than thus in worker caste due to soldier cannot eat by them selves.
