Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan informasi mengenai penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terhadap kemampuan kognitif peserta didik pada materi Sistem reproduksi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitianPre-Experimental dengan desain One-group Pretes-Postest. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sampel yang terpilih dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Muara Padang. Pengumpulan data kemampuan kognitif dilakukan melalui tes tertulis berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal. Datakemampuan kognitif diuji dengan t-test melalui sofware SPSS 23. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model snowball throwing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan kognitif (Sig. 0,000). Rata-rata nilai kemampuan kognitif peserta didik pada tes akhir lebih besar (77,39) dibandingkan dengan tes awal (28,04) dengan nilai gain 49,35 dan n-gain 0,69 dengan kategori sedang.
