Abstract
Duku is one kind of local tropical fruit that had been developed in Indonesia. The cultivation of duku has been developed since long time ago and become one of the best competitive commodities in South Sumatera province. The objective of this research was to increase nutrient absorption by soaking a root frond into a closed dark bottle containing nutrient liquid as if to feed a plant. The nutrient liquid contain P1 (8 g), P2 (18 g) and P3 (28 g) of NPK fertilizer in 330ml of water. The research used complete randomized design (CRD) conducted from August until October 2016. Results of this research showed that volume of nutrient liquid with average of difference last and first nutrient liquid volume 13,33 ml until 35,00 ml not significant, average of difference last and first root volume 0,07 ml until 0,20 not significant, on average of difference last and first leaf area 0,34 cm2 until 0,47 cm2 not significant, also with leaf nutrient volume with 0,41% until 0,82% difference last and first leaf nutrient volume average is not significant. But nitrogent content was significant with average of difference last and first nitrogen content between 1,48% until 2,66%. This research showed that root of duku was able to absorbnutrient liquid by nutrient feeding metod, and it was able to increasse level of fertilization efficiency.
