Abstract
Dengue fever (DF) is an infectious diseases caused dangue virus, the virus was infected by Aedes aegypti mosquito bite. Ther prevention of infectious DF doing by two ways, killed the larvae with larvacide and avoid mosquito bite with repellent. Essential oil in Eucalyptus pellita have an activity as larvacide and natural repellent. Essential oil in Eucalyptus pellita was isolate by steam destillation method. The result of essential oil quality determination is 0,383% w/v, the colour of oil is clear yellow, characteristic odor aromatic crops, specific gravity 0,87 g /mL, solubility in alcohol is 1:3 – 1:10, and the relative index is 1.467. The study activity of repellent against adult Aedes aegypti mosquito using concentration variation 1,5; 3,5; 6,5; 9,5; and 12,5% v /v with the negative control alcohol 70%. The result of probit analysis with linear regression in repellent studies was EC50 2,60% v/v and EC99 10,42% v /v. The study of larvacide against Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae instar II and IV with consentration variation 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, and 175 ppm with positive control of Abate® and negative control of tween 80 against 20 larvae in each group. The analysis probit with linear regression result in instar II is LC50 62,20 ppm and LC99 150,28 ppm, while in instar IV the result is LC50 68.94 ppm and LC99 152.89 ppm. Based of statistical analysis with Kruskal Wallis test and Mann-Whitney test generate the essential oil in Eucaliptus pellita potential with Abate ®in consentration 175ppm with sig.p>0,05.
