Abstract

This research aimed to know the value of responsibility to the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gelumbang through scout extracurricular activity. The population of the study was all of scout members of the eleventh grade students consisted of eleven male and nineteen female members. The sample of this study was elevent students which were taken by using purposive sampling. The data of the study were collected by using documentation, interview and observation. The validity was done by using credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data were analyzed by using data reduction, data display, and verification. Based on the result of analysis data showed that from the materials that exsist in scout exercises, scout members increased their responsibility value by working their own assignment well done and on time, more communicative, they have sense to helping others, caring for the environment conditions, resolute attitude and they are willing to accept sanctions when break the rules.
