Abstract
This study aimed to describe the characteristics of the student victims of bullying, kinds of bullying endured by the victiand the effects of bullying on victims. This study used a qualitative approach method with the 9th grade students as the population (student victims of bullying). Data collection techniques used was: nonparticipatory observation, structured interviews, and documentation. In the process of data collection researcher performed data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the characteristics of the students being bullied have closed personality, rarely interact with classmates, no resistance when got verbal or psychic bullying, and have a large posture that affects motor skills while exercising. The forms of bullying that received the by victims were: verbal (mocked, ridiculed, shouted and got ugly nickname), physically (smack, struck and harassed victims' belongings) and psychological (threats, and a cynical view). The effects of bullying endured by the victims namely: academic (passive while studying either with teachers or group, decreased learning outcomes and less learning motivation), psychological (feeling emotionally depressed, unable to actualize emotion, and feel anxious that withdrew from social environment), and poor social relationships with classmates as well as the offenders.
