Abstract

The research objective is to determine role of job demands toward workplace well-being on employees in minimarket X at Palembang. The hypothesis of the study is that job demands has a role to workplace well-being on employees in minimarket X at Palembang. The population of this study was all salesmen and cashier employees in minimarket X at Palembang with number of population is 762 employees. The research sample was 243 people using purposive sampling techniques. Scales that were used for this sudy were job demands scale refered to Van Veldhoven (2013) and workplace well-being scale refered to Page (2005). Analysis method used for this study was simple regression. The result obtained by value of R = 0,215, R Square = 0,046, F = 11,662, P = 0,001 (p<0,05). It proved that job demands has significant role of 4,6% toward workplace well-being. Thus the hypothesis is accepted.
