Abstract
Pengaruh Kecepatan Putar dan Jarak Roll terhadap Persentase Pecah Biji Kemiri Pada Mesin Pemecah Cangkang Kemiri Tipe Double Roll. The Effects of Rotation Speed and Roll Distance to the Seed Candlenut Crack Percentage on Candlenut Shell Cracker Machine Type Double Roll. Raya Palembang – Prabumulih Km. 32 Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Telp. (0711) 580664 Fax. (0711) 480279 ABSTRACT This research was aimed to examine the performance of double roll type candlenut shelling machines at various speeds and changes in roll distance. This research was conducted in November 2018 until April 2019 at the Laboratory of Agriculture Equipment and Machine Tools Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Agricultural Technology Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatra. The method used was a Factorial Randomized Group Design (RAKF) with two research factors, namely rotational speed (A) and roll distance (B) with three levels of treatment and each treatment combination was repeated three times. The parameters of this study were the percentage of the whole core, percentage of split halves, percentage of core broken and percentage of seeds escaped. The results of this study indicate that the treatment of roll distance has a significant effect on the percentage of crushed core and the percentage of seeds escaped. The highest percentage of the intact core was found at a speed of 100 rpm ± 20 with a roll distance of 1.8 cm (A1B2) which was 2.75%. The percentage of the two split core was mostly obtained from the combination treatment A2B2 (rotational speed 150 rpm ± 20 and roll distance 1.8 cm) of 37.54%. The most percentage of the crushed core was obtained from the combination treatment at a rotational speed of 200 rpm ± 20 and roll distance of 1.5 cm (A3B1). that was 18.49%. The highest percentage of seeds passed at a speed of 100 rpm ± 20 and a roll distance of 2cm (A1B3) with a value of 47.35%. (0711) 480279 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kinerja mesin pemecah cangkang kemiri tipe double roll pada berbagai kecepatan dan perubahan jarak roll. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2018 hingga April 2019 di Laboratorium Perbengkelan dan Alat Mesin Pertanian Program Studi Teknik Pertanian, Jurusan Teknologi Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya, Sumatera Selatan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) dengan dua faktor penelitian, yaitu kecepatan putar (A) dan jarak roll (B) dengan tiga taraf perlakuan dan setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Parameter penelitian ini yaitu persentase inti utuh, persentase inti belah dua, persentase inti hancur dan persentase biji lolos. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jarak roll berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase inti hancur dan persentase biji lolos. Nilai persentase inti utuh tertinggi terdapat pada kecepatan 100 rpm ± 20 dengan jarak roll 1,8cm (A1B2) yaitu sebesar 2,75%. Persentase inti belah dua paling banyak didapatkan dari kombinasi perlakuan A2B2 (kecepatan putar 150 rpm ± 20 dan jarak roll 1,8cm) sebesar 37,54%.. Persentase inti hancur yang paling banyak didapatkan dari kombinasi perlakuan pada kecepatan putar 200 rpm ± 20 dan jarak roll 1,5 cm (A3B1).yaitu 18,49%. Persentase biji lolos tertinggi pada kecepatan 100 rpm ± 20 dan jarak roll 2cm (A1B3) dengan nilai 47,35 %. Kata Kunci : Tanaman kemiri, kecepatan putar, jarak roll.
