Abstract

An inventory is a collection and compilation of data and facts regarding natural resources for planning the management of these resources. Spermatophytes are the plants that produce flowers for reproduction. Medicinal plants is a whole species of plants that are known or believed to have medicinal properties. Sembilang National Park (SNP) is a national park located on the shores of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. This National Park has an area of 2.051 km². SNP consists of peat swamp forest, freshwater swamp forest and riparian forest in South Sumatra Province. A variety of water and land plants growing in this national park. This research aims to know the types of medicinal potentially spermatophytes and knowing local wisdom in mangrove area Sembilang National Park. This research has been conducted in April 2015 to February 2016. Placed in the Sembilang National Park, mangrove area Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. This research uses a exploration method which is exploration, search and gather the kinds of specific genetic resources (medicinal potentially plant) to be utilized and protect it from extinction. The methods to find out the local wisdom of the area conducted by the interview method with the local community. Based on research results, obtained 13 types of medicinal potentially spermatophytes in the Sembilang National Park, mangrove area namely Acanthus ilicifolius, Avicennia marina, Cymbopogon citratus, Curcumae domestica, Eupatorium odoratum, Imperata cylindrica, Leucaena glauca, Morindha citrifolia, Ocimum citriodorum, Pluchea indica, Solanum torvum, Xylocarpus granatum and Zingiber officinale. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the form of utilization of plants based on local wisdom community in Solok Buntu and Barong Kecil Roundleaf TNS as a cure wounds, toothache, stomachache, intestinal worms, malaria, acne, hipertency, kidney, cold and body odor.
