Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: (1) described the implementation of PMPT District’s program in Talang Jambe District Sukarami Subdistrict Palembang City, (2) analyzed the impact of PMPT District’s program of papaya farmers’ productivity in Talang Jambe District Sukarami Subdistrict Palembang City, (3) analyzed the differerences in the level of papaya farmers income before and after to be a participant of PMPT District’s program in Talang Jambe District Sukarami Subdistrict Palembang City. This research was conducted in Talang Jambe District Sukarami Subdistrict Palembang City. The data was collected on March 2015. This research used a survey method. The data used primary and secondary data. The results showed that the application of PMPT district’s program in Talang Jambe District has been run in according with the procedure, however there were obstacles such as the education for farmers still low and there’s no support services from agency to marketing of papaya. There were the impact of papaya farmer’s productivity, there was the differences of papaya farmers’ productivity which is the papaya farmers’ productivity before to be a participant of PMPT District’s program was 56,962 kilograms per hectare per plant season, while the papaya farmers’ productivity after to be a participant of PMPT District’s program was 63,234 kilograms per hectare per plant season. There was the hdifferences of papaya farmers’ income which is papaya farmers’ income before to be a participant of PMPT District’s program was Rp 500,583,037,00 perhectare per plant season and then papaya farmers’ income after to be a participant of PMPT District’s program was Rp 827,660,817,00 per hectare per plant season
