Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the effects of irrigation pressure and physical properties of growing media on yield production of baby kalian (Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra). The research was conducted from October 2016 to April 2017 at Greenhouse of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. The research used randomized block design method with two factors and three replications. The treatment factors was consisted of the pressure (A) and the planting media (B). The observed parameters were plant height, number of leaves, stover weight, coefficient of uniformity, distribution of uniformity, physicalproperties of growing media, temperature and relative humidity. The research result showed that A2 (19 psi) and B3 (chorcoal husk, cocopeat,fern, goat manure) treatment was the best results based on the plant growth and yield production having height of 18.67 cm, 13 leaves, and weight of fresh baby kailan of 20.67 g. Pressure A1 (16 psi) and A2 (19 psi) and plant media treatment B1 (charcoal husk, cocopeat, goat manure), B2 (charcoal husk, empty bunch, goat manure) and B3 (charcoal husk, cocopeat, ferns, goat manure) had significant effect on yield production, coefficient of uniformity, distribution of uniformity and water content of growing media.
