Abstract
Implementation of malaria examination in primary healthcare laboratory in according to the standards of Minister Regulation Number 37 Year 2012 can help in the management and controlling of malaria cases. Based on the laboratory activity reports of malaria in working area of the Musi Rawas health service can explained that only a few primary health care can carrying out the examination in the laboratory and not all patients of clinical malaria to blood examination in the enforcement diagnosis of malaria primary healthcare laboratory. The aim of research to evaluate primary healthcare laboratory performance to examination of malaria case in working area of the Musi Rawas health service 2015. This research is a qualitative evaluation approach. The information is collected by indepth interviews with 11 interviewee, observations, document review and photovoice. The data analysis by content analysis. Validity test by sources triangulation, method, and data, then will be processed and described by the results of coding. Human resource has not been sufficient in the laboratory. Facilities and good infrastructure is sufficient. However, needs of reagents is insufficient. The number of patients with the diagnosis of malaria increases when the transition seasons and Standart Operational Prosedure’s laboratory have not been socialized properly to staff laboratory. Inspection activities have been carried out properly, recording is still manually and reporting to deliver once a month to the health service and health and safety has not been optimal. Figures API and AMI is low target due to the examination aided by RDT and not all patients with clinical malaria and examined in the laboratory are still lacking coordination leading to discrepancies in the data of the laboratory activities. Laboratory quality related PME and PMI are still not optimal. Evaluate primary health care laboratory performance to examination of malaria case in working area of the Musi Rawas health service was appropriate but not optimal. Preferably necessary procurement analyst, sink repairs, preparing reagents needs, improve coordination, and the dissemination of related Standar Operational Procedure’s Laboratory and occupational health and safety.
