Abstract
This study is aimed to 1) describe the obstacles that is faced by smoked fish producer, 2) analyze the influence of production factor that consist of fresh fish, fuel, stove and labor, 3) calculate the revenue of smoked fish producer, 4) describe the marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion) that run by producer, 5) measure the consumer’s review about the marketing mix. This study is conducted in Epil Village Lais Districts Musi Banyuasin. The method used in this study is a survey method. The data obtained is processed tabulation field then elaborated descriptively in accordance with objectives to be achived. Primary and secondary data obtained are processed and analyzed by using two ways, namely by quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data analysis is conducted using tabulations and processed by Excel program. Tabulation analysis is aimed to simplify the data to be easy to read and understand. While the qualitative data presented in descriptive form to support the quantitative data. Influence the production factor is used Cobb Douglass function and transform into logarithm and analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Base on the result of the study, the obstacles faced by producer are limited of capital, increased the price of fresh fish, limited transportation access, and low of producer’s skill. Regression analysis shows that there are two variables that correlated significantly with production at α = 0.05 are a fresh fish as raw material and labor. The revenue of smoked fish producer is Rp. 494.061. Smoked fish producer has run the marketing mix, product mix consist of the amount of production is 14,24 kg with six type of fish with a good quality, price mix that used is Cost Plus Pricing with average price are rata Rp. 204.743 for lais besar, Rp. 190.057 untuk baung besar, Rp. 180.200 for lais kecil, Rp. 163.600 for baung kecil, Rp. 131.857 for gabus, dan Rp. 114.171 for patin, place mix consist of strategis location and the distribution of smoked fish occurs on level 0, promotion mix that used is Personal Selling and Direct Marketing with by promoting the quality of smoked fish, the distinctive smell, and smoked fish not easily rotten. The consumer’s scoring about the marketing mix is 15,5, which mean the producer has run a good marketing mix.
