Abstract

The mining of coal at the Muara Tiga Besar Utara Site (MTBU), PT Bukit Asam cooperates with the contractor PT Pama Persada Nusantara in mining process. The contractor PT Pama Persada Nusantara conducted coal mining activities to meet April production target of 450000 tons using 5 fleet of equipment. 3 fleets on the East MTBU front where fleets 1 and 2 consist of 1 loadingband unloading tools and 5 conveyances while fleet 3 consists of 1 loadingband unloading tools and 4 conveyances. 2 fleet of tools on the West MTBU front where fleets 1 and 2 consist of 1 loadingband unloading tools and 5 conveyances. The research objective is to determine the settings of the tools used to achieve production targets, find out the amount of production can be achieved or not, then analyze and improve so that production targets are achieved. The research method was carried out by taking data in the form of cycle time of loading and unloading equipment and then transporting them to calculate productivity of the equipment in order to know the amount of production. The results of the calculation of coal production from arrangement ofbthe equipment in field by the five fleets theoretically based on calculation from productivitybof digging tool reaches 630,021 tons while the calculation of real production based on productivity conveyor theoretically only reaches 431,718 tons of coal.
