Abstract

Recently, illegal dumping is one of the biggest social problems that raise significant concerns with regards to safety, property values,and quality of life of communities in Japan. This paper begins general overview of illegal dumping of industrial waste by surveying the definition of waste and illegal dumping. The second part present the the state of illegal dumping. The finding showed an indication that the illegal dumping has increased. Experience elsewhere also suggest also suggest the extent the illegal dumping problem such a the illegal dumping site discovered. It will require urgent attention. The cost of cleaning up the illegal dumping site will be very costly. Finally we use sociology of law perspective to analyze the illegal dumping of industrial waste in Japan.
