Abstract

Banyuasin waters are one of the estuary waters that have a lot of human activities such as settlements, shipping, transportation, fishing and industry. Heavy metal is one of the natural components of the soil. Pb metal was present in waters by naturally and as a result of human activities. This study aims to analyze the content of heavy metals (Pb) in mantis shrimp caught by using trammel net in the Bayuasin estuary South Sumatra. This research uses Survey Method heavy metal (Pb) analyzed using AAS method. The results study showed that the heavy metal (Pb) in mantis shrimp was contaminated with the Pb. The concentration of in the mantis shrimp ranged from 0.557 to 2.23 mg / kg, with an average value of 1.0935 mg / kg. According to The National Agency Of Drug And Food Control Of Republic Of Indonesia (BPOM) maximum heavy metal (Pb) shrimp is 0.20 mg / kg, therefore mantis shrimp on the Banyuasin Estuary cannot be consumed because it has exceeded BPOM quality standards.
