Abstract

Timetable creation is an integer linear programming in transportation scheduling. In this study, we used primary and secondary data of BRT Trans Musi Kota Palembang on AAL-Ampera route for bus operation time in each of the 2 periods in the morning (i. e. at 6 to 8 am) and afternoon (i.e. at 4 to 6 pm). The aim of this timetable creation is to find the optimal departure time of the bus in minimizing the density of passengers in the bus and in a halte (or tranfer node). We solved the problem by Branch and Bound method. Based on the results, headway in the morning is higher than afternoon time, especially for Ampera - AAL route. This means that passengers are transported on the route AAL - Ampera in the morning more than the afternoon. Conversely passengers for the route Ampera - AAL in the afternoon more than the morning. In the morning, the required number of buses for AAL - Ampera route is more than the Ampera - AAL route. By contrast, in the afternoon, the required number of buses for Ampera - AAL route is more numerous. The start time of operation on both routes in each period is relatively the same.
