Abstract

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of South Sumatra Province is one of the non-departmental institutions formed by the government to carry out disaster management tasks in South Sumatra Province based on the policies set by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). In the implementation of disaster management in South Sumatra Province there are several obstacles in determining decisions in the mitigation process due to the absence of accurate information on natural disasters. Therefore in need of a data mining implementation system using the k-means algorithm as a means of classifying (clustering) natural disasters. The results of the clustering will be a new information that is more effective and accurate so that it is used as a means of making decisions on natural disaster management in the future.
