Abstract
Optic Disc is one important part that must be observed in diagnosing retinal disease. In this paper we will propose an approach for detecting optical disks. Optical disk detection is performed using the Averaging Filter and Histogram Image method. Optical disk detection starts with preprocessing to improve image quality and eliminate blood vessels. Detection results in the form of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity were 96.76%, 50.28% and 97.64% respectively using the DRIVE dataset. The results of the detection show a fairly good performance.
