Abstract

Garbage is a material that is wasted from the source of human and natural activities. Talang Kelapa Urban Village is one of the villages that has the largest population of 40808 inhabitants. The density of the population results in high waste generated. Garbage collection system analysis is carried out on residential rubbish, which is garbage originating from the source, then transported by a collection system in the form of a motorized wheelbarrow to the TPS, while the garbage collection system for samples of tarred garbage stores is transported by a garbage collection system in the form of dump trucks directly to the landfill. This research was conducted at Maskrebet Settlement, Talang Kelapa Village. This study aims to analyze the weight, the rate of waste generation, the composition of waste, to evaluate the suitability of existing waste infrastructure facilities and infrastructure, and analyze the needs of the appropriate garbage collection system in Maskrebet Settlement, Talang Kelapa Village. This research was conducted by direct sampling in the residential area for 7 consecutive days using the method of taking and measuring sample generation and composition of urban waste based on SNI 19-3964-1994. The results of the study are the average amount of solid waste generated for settlement samples of 0.17822 kg / person / day, while the average solid waste generation for shopping samples is 0.35108 kg / employee / day. Waste generation rate for settlement samples is 0.00185 m3 / person / day while waste generation rate for shopping samples is 0.00267 m3 / employee / day. The composition of household waste is 71% more organic waste and 29% inorganic waste, while the composition of shopping waste is 71.28% inorganic waste and 21.64% organic waste. Facilities and infrastructures of the garbage collection system are many forms of 55% concrete cast, 45% concrete cast material because the material from concrete is cheap and more durable. Prediction of the volume of solid waste generation in 2019 in the smapel of settlements is 49,37768 m3 / day and for shopping waste samples is 19,7883 m3 / day. The prediction of the number of TPS needs using the 2008 SNI reference in Talang Kelapa Kelurahan in 2019 is 2 TPS like containers. The predicted garbage collection system for garbage cart transportation in 2019 is 9 garbage carts for Talang Kelapa Urban Village, and the shop sample collection system for dump trucks is 2 dump trucks.
