Abstract
Non ergonomic work posture will cause isometric muscle contraction in the main muscles involved in the work, while the back muscles will work hard to hold the burden of upper limbs who are doing work, as a result the workload rests on the waist area as a barrier to the main load. pain in the lower back muscles occurs. With the aim of analyzing the relationship of work posture with complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) on Songket Weavers. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross sectional study design. The population of this study amounted to 100 people with a simple random sampling method. The research sample amounted to 55 people. Data analysis using fisher exact test. The results of the study were 46 respondents with non ergonomic work postures based on the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) assessment > 2 who experienced Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints of 38 respondents (82,6 %).. Based on bivariate analysis there is a significant relationship between work posture and Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints with a p-value = 0.026, there is a significant relationship between work period and Low Back Pain (LBP) with a p-value = 0.007, there is a relationship significant age with Low Back Pain (LBP) with a p-value = 0,000. It was concluded that Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints in songket weavers were 42 respondents (76.4%). It is recommended that the respondent improve their work posture and use the back while weaving and relax the muscles so that they are not tense by moving the legs so that the foot position is not statistics during weaving.
