Abstract

Beginner Voter Knowledge About 2019 Elections, What is the knowledge of 2018 students about 2019 elections. The problem formulation is to elect the President vice president and legislative members ?, How can novice voters get information about 2019 elections ?. The aim is to find out the knowledge of beginner voters about simultaneous elections in electing legislative and executive members who are held together. To understand the views of novice voters about their choice in the 2019 simultaneous elections, the qualitative method. The location of the study was due to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Sriwijaya University. Case study research strategy. The focus of the research is how students get information about the simultaneous election and the processes in the election as well as how they know the election system in 2019 which is conducted simultaneously. Primary and secondary data source types. The technique of determining the informants used in this study was purvosive. The role of researchers as interviewers, data analysis unit for data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and verification. Data collection techniques, observation, interviews, documentation. Triangulation, Data condensation. Research Conclusions Beginner voter knowledge in 2019 election political activities is still minimal, political education or election socialization to novice voters is not effective enough, Novice voters are more interested in presidential elections compared to legislative elections, 4.
