Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memeroleh gambaran tentang bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam mengajukan masalah dengan menggunakan PMRI pada materi pola bilangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelititan adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. Proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan sesuai dengan pendekatan PMRI. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan untuk melihat indikator yang muncul saat proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan Tes dilakukan untuk menentukan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa ketika mengerjakan dan mengajukan masalah.. Sedangkan wawancara digunakan untuk mengkonfirmasi jawaban hasil tes siswa. Hasilnya dibedakan ke dalam 5 tingkatan, yaitu level 0 hingga level 4 dengan karakteristik yang berbeda pada tiap tingkatan. Terdapat 4 siswa yang berkemampuan sangat kreatif, 18 siswa yang berkemampuan kreatif, 2 siswa yang memiliki berkemampuan kurang kreatif, dan 2 siswa yang berkemampuan tidak kreatif. Perbedaan tiap tingkatan tersebut didasarkan pada kelancaran, fleksibilitas, dan kebaruan dalam menyelesaikan dan mengajukan masalah.
